- US customers save even more
Many US states tax your AWS bill. Through us, they often don’t.
When AWS bills you directly, several states add sales tax to every invoice. Billed through Cloudvisor, that tax often is removed, and you get an additional blanket discount.

At Cloudvisor we have one simple goal: We help startups scale with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
In essence, this means that you will stop receiving invoices for used AWS services directly from AWS and start receiving them from Cloudvisor. Technically this simply means that your AWS account will be joining an AWS Organization that is owned and managed by Cloudvisor. Switching billing allows Cloudvisor to provide you with a number of added benefits.
The process of joining an AWS Organization is pretty straightforward. The root user of your AWS account will receive an email from AWS stating that you have been invited to join an AWS Organization that is owned and managed by Cloudvisor. All you need to do is log in to the AWS console and press “OK”. From that moment on, all of your AWS spend will go through Cloudvisor, and you will see the view below once you access “My Organization” in the AWS console.
No, it’s impossible for Cloudvisor to see how you are using your AWS services, nor configurations or data. We will only have access to the billing information, which, naturaly, is needed to generate the invoices for your AWS usage. If you dig deeper into the details about AWS Organizations, you will see that there are two types of them – “All features” and “Consolidated billing”. Cloudvisors Organization is the “Consolidated billing” type, and that will be clearly indicated in the invite you receive from AWS to join it.
As this AWS service currently allows an AWS account to be part of only one Organization, to switch the billing, you will need to leave the old Organization and join ours. It is a simple process (should take 5-15 min max), but we recommend going through it together to save your time – we have done that numerous times already.
It usually takes 1-2 days after AWS issues invoices from their side, so the 5th day of the month is the average when invoices from Cloudvisor arrive to our customers. You’ll be receiving standard invoices with a due date (Yes, no more credit cards!)
